Craft Mentoring
I’m not for one moment suggesting I know your craft better than you…
You are a unique individual. The craft you produce is as original as your fingerprint and a part of you goes into every piece you make. You are the only person in the world who can produce your craft quite like you do.
I would never tell you to do it any differently.
But if you’re not profiting from your talents as much as you’d like, and if the internet and selling crafts online is an area where you could do with some help, then I do have some suggestions for you.
Suggestions that could radically change the future of your craft business. Techniques and tactics which could take your craft from “kitchen-table” hobby to a comfortable full-time income… and beyond.
It would be easy for me to go into marketing-speak here – after all, that’s what I did for twenty-five years before I quit the rat race and built my craft business.
But I’m not really trying to “sell” you anything so I’ll just lay out what I’ve got and you can decide whether it’s what you are looking for, OK?
The blog here shares lots of useful info with crafts people looking for advice on selling their crafts online.
But it’s not like one-to-one help.
So that’s the idea of my crafts mentoring program. I work with a small number of crafts people giving the help they need, precisely when they need it.
It’s not for everyone.
Some people are perfectly happy with their craft as a hobby and never look to make a cent out of it. Nothing wrong with that, probably how most of us started in fact. Others are delighted to make a few bucks here and there among friends and family, maybe the occasional craft show. That’s great too.
But there’s a third group, and if you’re reading this you’re probably among them, who want to take their hobby and make serious money at it. Chances are you’ve got a day job you’re not crazy about. I remember just what that was like. You do crafts in your spare time but you’d love to be able to make a full-time living at it.
If you’ve got a serious desire to change what you’re doing this could be for you.
But what exactly does the craft mentoring program provide?
- We start with a blog. At the moment it is without a doubt the most powerful means of getting your craft in front of your prospective customers. Every craftsperson doing business online should have their own craft blog. Some people play around with them, we’ll be using the pro method.
- First we’ll get you your own top level domain name, some server space and I’ll install Wordpress. We’ll discuss how to best put it together to suit your craft, but you don’t need to worry about the actual technical side of things, I’ll do that for you.
- We’ll submit your blog to the search engines and make sure it gets accepted and ranked – in a fraction of the time that most sites take.
- We’ll add some appropriate affiliate programs so your blog can make money straight away. Don’t know about affiliate programs? Don’t worry, I’ll set it up, then you can learn how they work, while they are actually working.
- Then we’ll add a couple of posts and make sure you know how the insides of your blog works to get you started off on the right foot. In a very short time you’ll be handling it like a seasoned pro.
But we don’t stop there.
- You’ll learn how to set up a newsletter so you can keep in touch with your customers easily.
- You’ll get to grips with article marketing, affiliate programs and forum marketing.
- You’ll look at ways to add additional income streams, some of which can run 24/7/365 with minimal input from you and which will make money while you’re on vacation, sleeping…
- …and you’ll have access to my private client online help desk so every time you come across something you don’t understand or you have any questions about marketing, advertising or selling crafts online, you’ll get dedicated response, like I’m working in your business with you.
Let me just make one thing absolutely clear. Although I’ll set up and host the blog for you, all the money-making elements will be in your name… so you’ll get the money that it generates. All of it. Right from day one. That way you’ve got the best incentive possible to make this thing work for you. If your blog makes $10 a month, that’s what you get. If it makes $10,000 a month, that’s what you get.
You might expect that this sort of unique, in-depth help to build your craft business isn’t going to come cheap. I don’t know what kind of figure you might have in mind, but here’s the deal.
$47.00 per month.
What’s more you can try it for a month at half price, Just $23.50

There’s no commitment required, other than your own obvious commitment to your craft business success. You don’t have to sign up for a year, not six months, no minimum contract at all. If I don’t deliver on my promises just quit. Any time.
What’s more, your subscription will never go up. However much money your blog makes, whatever income you get from your craft business, that’s your reward for your hard work. My fee will remain just $47.00 for as long as you need my help.
Anything Else?
Well if we look a bit down the road it’s likely that you’ll have put time and effort into building your blog and you’ll be earning good money with it. So maybe you’d prefer that the blog became legally yours, 100%, domain name and all, rather than just something you run?
OK, you can have it.
At any time you choose – regardless of whether you’ve earned $100 from the blog or $100,000 – you can make a one-off payment of just $115 to reimburse my set-up costs, and I’ll transfer title and ownership to you right then and there. No further fee, no contract, no ties, nothing.
Of course if you don’t want to bother with finding a host and doing the transfer you can just keep up your subscription and I’ll keep providing hosting and support for as long as you like. It’s all included in your subscription.
Fair enough?

Trust issues?
It’s OK, I won’t be offended if you’re a bit dubious. You don’t know me and you have no reason to trust me. Could be a complete con, right?
Except that if it was, I’d probably be asking for a bit more than $47.00!
I make a very comfortable living from my crafts businesses but I have no way to prove that to you so you could be taking a risk.
If investing $47.00 causes you any grief, don’t do it.
I’m serious. I’m not trying to convince you that this craft mentoring program is the only way you’ll succeed online. I am certain it will short-cut the process, but if $47.00 is a stretch for you at this time, please keep your money in your pocket, keep visiting mine and other blogs, and with time you’ll get there.
OK, I’ve rambled on enough I reckon. I do get very enthusiastic about this stuff because of the potential for ordinary people like you and me to change the way they live. Is it any wonder I get carried away sometimes…?
I’ll finish with a couple of important points.
First, I seriously believe that anyone can make money from selling their crafts online with the right approach and the right help. You can do this. You can take it to whatever level you want.
Building a successful, profitable business isn’t about finding some secret. Never has been, never will be. It’s about working at it, consistently, until it pays off. What I do can help you achieve your goals more easily and more quickly but it isn’t overnight riches. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m afraid the only solution is to go buy a lottery ticket and cross your fingers.
Second, you need to act now if you want to get in.
In order to ensure I can dedicate sufficient time to each craftsperson I only work with a limited number at a time. There are a few places available at the moment but if you come back again in a week or two you may find the program closed. You can always join the waiting list (it’s usually about three months before I re-open the program) but I won’t be able to squeeze you in now if the program is full.
So it’s up to you.

Finally, what happens after you’ve subscribed?
First I’ll get some details from you. We want to get that blog started and look at income streams. We’ll examine your key skills and interests.
We’ll also get some idea of where you want to get to goal-wise, so we can tailor things precisely to your own targets.
In addition you’ll get a link to download your first two coaching manuals and you’ll get access to the private client support system so you can start asking any questions you have straight away.
Right, I’m done. Up to you now.
If you have any questions I’d love to hear from you. Just leave a comment below or email me here.

This is great information, thanks! I’m so glad to see you offering your services to other crafters. You’ve been a wonderful ‘coach’ to me and my own blog, and the success I enjoy is due to your mentoring.
When I first learned of Bob’s mentoring program, I was skeptical, but I am so happy that I took a leap of faith and signed up. We had my blog up and running in just a few short weeks and I’ve never looked back! The best part has been the personal attention. Having an expert on call to answer questions and bounce ideas off of has been invaluable (he really does tailor his program to fit your needs).
I consider Bob a partner and rely on his technical knowledge and marketing savvy to help me build my craft business. I recommend his service to anyone serious about taking their crafts to the next level. It’s been a lot of work, but the rewards are amazing.
